In my post yesterday I spoke about how for me, that moment of holding my child is one of those moments where the ache of the longing for heaven is both comforted, and somehow simultaneously increased. So I’d love to hear from you, what is a moment you have experienced in your own life when heaven seemed to touch earth? Where your longing for what is to come was at once strengthened, and yet comforted?
Susan, I love that feeling of instantly being home—but I'm sorry that this time was lost to you. That is so painful. With these sorts of things, I am so comforted by that through from C.S. Lewis' The Last Battle, that "Nothing truly good is ever lost forever." I believe at the restoration of all things—so much of what is now lost will be gloriously restored.
A time not that long ago. A time that instantly I felt at home. A time that was lost to me.
